WillYum
I'm currently doing a MA Creative Writing and looking for stories about Kelvin flats. I lived on Woollen Walk from '84 to '92 and have plenty of my own memories, but I'd like to hear other people stories about their time there. It doesn't have to be specifically about the building, but could be about an event that happened as a result of being on the flats, a small personal story or something that reminds you of the flats; maybe stories about being adversely affected by the building of the flats. I don't mind negative stories - urban legend is good too - but the overall bias of what will become a book and an art project is one of positivity and affection. I'm keen on representing the amazing feeling of community. If anyone has stories about the building of the flats or what was on the site before the flats were built, they'd be interesting, too. There are some nice stories on this forum, but more would be useful! Thanks!
