samssong
I have had to think very hard( for the first time ever ) on who to vote for in the coming election. The problem being that I am not very endeared to Jermy Corbyn as the Labour leader . However this dilemma has now been solved by todays news that he if elected will renationalise the railways , the royal mail and energy industries this taking away from the robbing quangos that with .M.P's backing stole the public services in the first place. Let us hope that this is followed by our re owner ship of the Steel and haulage industries so as once again our Country can be run for the common good of all the citizens and not just the CHOSEN few. Lex Luthor
Any idea how much all this will cost? Any idea how much it has cost us already, subsidising these privatised industries, whilst the privileged make a profit out of it?
Lockjaw
Any idea how much all this will cost? An example of the cost of privatisation: https://www.theguardian.com/uk/2001/jun/07/world.comment a snippet: "Railtrack has already been bailed out to the tune of a £1.5bn subsidy paid early. It has asked for another billion and there is no reason to suppose that the begging bowl has been put away. "

Lex Luthor
No have you...? This website gives an insight in to the current shambles and the cost to uk taxpayers but there are many others, if you do a quick search. https://weownit.org.uk/public-ownership/railways
SkylinePhoto
Although i agree with a lot of the policies in the labour manifesto i will still be voting conservative because i voted to leave the EU. Its also a very contradictory manifesto because a lot of it is about nationalising, about Uk jobs, more homes, more police, more nurses, no university fees.....but they are pro europe and want an open door policy. These policies counteract each other as far as im concerned.
