Dont waste your breath

Doesnt matter how many times you say it.....remoaners dont listen. :hihi:

There is no hard or soft Brexit....just Brexit.

No free movement = no single market

i do listen, it's a shame that you don't.

you do realise that brexit wont make any difference to immigration don't you?

the only thing which will change is the colour of the skin......

all no free movement means is that, unless we negotiate a better deal, we trade with the eu on the common external tariffs which will add between 3% and 10% to imports and exports.

anyway, there is a whole library of brexit threads, so let's talk here about the labour manifesto which on the basis of the news stories seems quite good, which is probably why the right wing press is going potty about it.

It's like you lot want to be punished

Once we leave the EU we can make our own rules.

But if you read the leaked Labour manifesto they dont seem to understand that and want it all now.

Im really excited to see what they do with tariffs for industries like steel....might even get some coal mines open.

On the last bit as someone who worked down pit I bloody well hope not, maybe when the robots take over it may work.. :hihi:

ummmmm nope, we can't make our own rules.

by default, we are constrained by the WTO agreements and rules and all these wonderful trade deals which liam fox is going to do will all include limitations on what we can do.

read about some of the darker aspects of the now defunct TTIP and other similar deals.

Bless. You do know the EU wanted to slap tariffs on Chinese steel but that idea was vetoed by one country and one country only. The UK. You think it will happen now? You can't be that stupid surely.

Quite a good read yes, putting it in practice no chance! But we still yet have to see the costing of all this as that has not yet been leaked and maybe for a good reason.

I think it fair to say that it was the countries that actually produced steel in a fair quantity that wanted the tariffs. As we are way down on the list of producers it would not have benefited us. Germany though actually managed to get tariffs put on Chinese imported solar panels as the German companies that made ones were not selling as many.
