Its the labour party for me.

Don't know Phil, they appear conspicuous by their absence or maybe as they are not in the shadow cabinet they don't get national exposure and are just campaigning in their own wards.

Yes it seems very strange that they are keeping in the background and not backing Corbyn' but then again they were always against him. I think they are waiting for him to fail and then the Blairites will then join Tony Blairs new party that is rumoured to be developing.

Well for one servicing the debt labour left and then keeping the country running. Or are you saying that they borrow loads of money on behalf of the UK then steal it??.

Why should Scotland not have independence just cos we would lose money ,if we would that is. Not sure how much oil revenue outweighs what they get from Westmininster if it does outweigh it at all.

We cannot be like the EU and want them to stay just for money. Let them go,it's called democracy.

Do you think Blairs new party will get off the ground or is he too toxic.

She pulled out of BBC Woman's Hour this morning, due to ill health.

She really is the best Tory vote winner at the moment.

I know.

But what if your manufactured antipathy for the dopey rotund black woman caused you to sleepwalk into a polling both on Thursday and, thinking only of the hated Diane, put your little cross next to a party who over the next five years would only impoverish you and make your life grimmer.

Would your hatred for the dopey rotund black woman still seem so important then?

Maybe it would. If so, then use your precious vote simply as an anti-Diane Abbott protest. If you think other things are more important (NHS, social care, housing, equality), then sod Diane and vote for the grouping who are more likely to deliver these.

And Labour have a track record for making all those things right do they, they're manifesto seems to be based around throwing more money in to something that needs properly managing not having more money to waste.

I dont hate Abbott I fear that such a hopeless buffoon could be home secretary especially in the current climate.

There is no written rule that a shadow minister has to be in post in government. As I said earlier, don't be blindsided by your antipathy for the woman. Think of your future!

I would counter-argue that Labour has a good track record on all those things (the NHS - 1947 for example). Furthermore, this is socialism's home turf. It is a political philosophy *centred* around equality. By voting Conservative you get a discredited neo-liberalism which seeks to impoverish you and reward the wealthy. I wouldn't mind the Torys so much if 'One Nation' conservatism was still in evidence.

Ah, management. The perceived solution to all our ills. I once wrote a book about this. Our current fetish with this subject is rooted in a flawed science of the 19th century. Management is often not the solution - a committed authentic philosophy which guides action is often better.

Vote wisely!

So far we have from the Tories:

No tax rises for the rich

No commitment to ruling out tax rises for the rest of us

NHS cuts, selling of NHS assets

Dementia tax

More police cuts

Fracking

Tearing up of the human rights act

You cannot say you have not been warned.

In answer to this and the post below, I have NEVER voted for the Conservatives in my life and never will.

I'm not saying Abbott will have a front line position in a Labour government but she's a hell of a libility in a campaign and will be one of many reasons why Labour will not win.

1947 was a long time ago and that was a proper Labour administration.

Shes not forced to be Home Secretary if corbyn wins though? I suspect if labour get in with a coalition, she'll be the first one to make space for tiny Tim et al.

I'd hope so. The thing is that she's probably pretty good at her job behind the scenes but she makes too many public gaffes and is generally pretty much universally disliked (hands up if anyone likes her? I won't judge I'd just love to know what I'm missing here) therefore she would be liability on reputation is nothing else. Jeremy Hunt is a similar way could turn out be an amazing health/education/whatever job he's messing up now but his reputation for being an idiot is too far ingrained.

No, actually, the money was invested.

So, Brown sold the gold cheaply (about a hundred bucks an ounce less than that years average price) and you think he's an idiot, but you are happy for Scotland to go independent to shut Sturgeon up even though that means the rest of the UK loses billions in oil revenue?

That logic is so poor and backward.

You are a breath of fresh air on here as I cannot work out your political allegiance at all, and that's a great thing! You seem to be equally complimentary and dismissive of all the parties and therefore your posts are interesting as they don't appear to have bias. I hope. Unless you are actually a Green party member and I am so blinkered now in my echo chamber that I can no longer see bias!
