geared
So where do you think the black car was heading for? I think he was going M1N, but from the video there are two points to remember. 1. He never indicates (Audi driver, shocked much??) 2. He never actually leaves his lane The collision occurred solely in the black cars lane, the white car crossed the lane divider markings and hit the black one (watch the video, you'll see what I mean) Edited May 18, 2017 by geared

SnailyBoy
I think he was going M1S, but from the video there are two points to remember. 1. He never indicates (Audi driver, shocked much??) 2. He never actually leaves his lane I disagree, i think the destination is Rotherham. M1S would need to be in the right hand lane.

Yes sorry I meant M1N. but either way, he never actually left his lane, regardless of his intended destination (watch the video).
Eater Sundae
I've driven it plenty, the markings on the roundabout clearly show the black car stayed in their lane and the white car cut across. It was the black cars lane, not the white cars lane, there is no question of that. No. The black car was in the lane for Bawtry Road and M1S, but then moved across into the lane for M1N or Rotherham. The white car was in the lane for M1N and Rotherham, and didn't change lanes.
Obelix
Looking at the footage closely it looks like he was trying to turn left onto the viaduct and probably got confused between M1N and M1S He wasn't trying to turn - he never left his lane.

Lol, M1N, that's even worse. Why would he/she be in the center lane approaching the roundabout for M1N? Especially having seen the road markings indicating that the left lane is Left and straight on? geared
No. The black car was in the lane for Bawtry Road and M1S, but then moved across into the lane for M1N or Rotherham. The white car was in the lane for M1N and Rotherham, and didn't change lanes. No watch the video it's quite clear. Black car enters the roundabout in the middle lane. black car stays in their lane Middle lane splits as it go's under M1 into centre and left lane. White car crossed from their lane and hits black car as it positions to take left lane under M1. The lane the white car is in turns left off the roundabout and heads towards M1N, it does not carry on under the M1.
truman
He wasn't trying to turn - he never left his lane. He entered the "roundabout" in the wrong lane... but this is now becoming a circular argument (see what I did there? )
geared
Lol, M1N, that's even worse. Why would he/she be in the center lane approaching the roundabout for M1N? because Audi driver? Their intended destination is irrelevant, they remained in their lane throughout. There is no question of that.
