geared
Of course he did, the lane he was in was for M1S/Bawtry, he went to M1N. He went no-where, the White car saw to that one.
Obelix
Of course he did, the lane he was in was for M1S/Bawtry, he went to M1N. The signs that show that are green hence they give positive information. So you can take this lane to go to these destinations. There is no prohibitive RED sign that says you CANNOT use this lane to go M1N. So the signs are followed correctly. Well I'm sure the Audi driver will take note of the correct lane for the M1N next time, rather than using the lane for M1S. ---------- Post added 18-05-2017 at 12:24 ---------- The signs that show that are green hence they give positive information. That sounds like semantics to me. Any reasonable driver in that situation would have known the left lane was for the M1N and the middle lane was for the M1S. If the Audi made a mistake in lane choice for the M1N they should have gone around and got into the correct lane.
truman
You can go straight on in both lanes according to the arrows. But when you get to the roundabout the markings take the lane on the left up the M62. You can go straight on BUT the onus is on you to change lanes safely. White car failed to change lanes safely. That's all that matters ultimately. Wrong roundabout entirely then...
jasd75
Open and shut case, the white car is CORRECT and the black car is in the WRONG. The road markings clearly show what you can and can't do in the various lanes. That said, it doesn't feel right going straight on in the left-hand lane and I do sympathise with the black car thinking you could peel off left. In heavy traffic you can't always see the painted arrows or road names particularly well. Conclusion: white - right, black - wrong, but the highways agency (or whoever it is who designed the traffic flow) needs to have a good look at the current set-up. Obelix
Wrong roundabout entirely then... In what way is showing an alternative example - oh I forgot. It's the famous Not From Leeds bias this forum shows. Grow up.
geared
Nope it's in the wrong lane all the time.. In your opinion, but it never deviates from that lane. It did not cause the crash, it did not leave it's lane.
