segasonic Posted May 17, 2006 Share Posted May 17, 2006 Had mine done at Van Shaik's, and didn't feel a thing (until afterwards - was difficult to eat and had a comedy accent for a week or so). Now it feels weird if I take it out, and when it's in I don't even notice it. I also have no ill effects, such as affected speech and neither does anyone else I know who's had it done. Guest Posted May 17, 2006 Share Posted May 17, 2006 Its not that painful when you have it done, obviously it is a little painful with the swelling, for about 2 weeks after having mine done I was eating rolo deserts and crumpets, try to avoid very hot drinks as well.
