janie48
Looks like Macron's honeymoon period is well & truly over? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-43617033 https://www.independent.co.uk/travel/news-and-advice/france-rail-strike-latest-travel-cancellations-flights-eurostar-paris-a8284771.html French tradition? Strikes, protests and street rioting happen quite frequently in France.
Car Boot
Even if he was 'gay' (why the quotes?) how is that an issue, at all? So far, from what I've seen, he's a classy dude. Not quite up there with Obama, but deffo more than one rung up the ladder above our Boris! Do you mean "back of the queue" Obama who was so 'classy' he didn't respect British democracy and tried to threaten the electorate into voting a certain way which backfired tremendously? hauxwell
Janie48 is right when she says strikes, protests and rioting happens frequently in France. All to do with the many revolutions the countries had over the years. It’s in there DNA to stand up for what they believe in.

I don't see anything wrong with Obama saying you would be at the back of the queue for a trade deal. Why should you jump straight to the front of the queue? Do you behave like that in supermarkets? The arrogant President Obama attempted to interfere in the domestic political affairs of the UK and British voters punished the Remain side for his bullying and sneering attitude. President Obama was just another arrogant elitist who helped swing the vote to Leave.

Baron99
I wrote the honeymoon was over in 2018. Looks like a divorce is now on the cards. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/emmanuel-macron-bouffes-du-nord-theatre-paris-protesters-a9289586.html Wonder if Waldo's still impressed with him? If we did the same here, we could have rid ourselves earlier of Blair, (for taking us into an unnecessary war on the pretense of weapons of mass destruction), but I'm surmising you only agree with protesters taking action against the Tories? Didn't see any change in the Labour laws despite 13 years of Labour rule, even with 'Socialists' like Blunkett, Prescott ot Caborn at the top table? Don't you remember the massive demonstrations against the Iraq war - I think there were nigh on a million of us in London - far bigger than anything the Gilet Jaunes have ever organised here in France. I think the Tories would take a rather dim view of en masse strikes at the drop of a hat and would legislate against them.
