I can remember the time when the SNP were known as "Tartan Tories". The 2015 election was a transitional freak where both the Tartan Tories and the more modern, progressive, nationalists voted SNP. What we're seeing here is a consolidation of the shift from Labour vs. Tory to SNP vs. Tory in Scotland.

i think thats very true

The Conservatives need 326 seats to win overall.

oh no they don't. They only need 323. You're forgetting about Sinn Fein, who will probably emerge from this UK election with 3 seats, although they won't take them up and engage in parliamentary votes like everybody else who stands for parliament usually does. They're not going to make an exception, turn up in London, and vote for Jeremy Corbyn, who they think is just a useful English idiot.

Clegg's gone.

Good news for Labour. Sad for him. But I get the impression it's put him out of his misery...

...New Labour MP looks a bit of a divvy...

Good speech from Nick Clegg.

Vince Cable is back for Lib Dems so at least they have one decent statesman.

don't forget, Hallam was and really is, if it was in any other part of the country, a typical Tory seat which Labour for many many years thought was totally beyond their grasp. It must be the #1 seat in the country which voted Labour, but has the highest income levels, educational qualifications, and so on. Hallam is a big gain for Labour.
