My point wasn't exactly about a transitional arrangement. Clearly if we can negotiate a deal then a transitional agreement which gently takes us from where we are now to where we will be would be a great help to both sides. That could be a special deal just for us or a couple of years membership of an Exxxxx. My point was more about our government and Parliament being too dysfunctional to negotiate a deal at all. The brexit clock is ticking and rather than trying to negotiate an extension we join one of the Exxx bodies while we sort ourselves out and try again.
