For one thing,he is a cat lover of some repute. As for “Two Little Boys”, it was written in 1902 by Edward Madden and popularised by music-hall artiste Harry Lauder. And “Lay Me Kangaroo Down, Sport” was popularised by one of Australia’s great entertainers, 83-years-old Johnny Ashcroft, who is also a Fellow of the Australian Institute of History and Arts.
