Another shooting and stabbing in sheffield

Recommended Posts

Reports are saying there has been a shooting and a stabbing around the Wensley street area ,is these kind of incidents getting too common now in Sheffield

What gets me is the star quoting Wensley St as Firvale. when its quite clearly recognised as being in Page Hall.

Given the bad publicity around Page Hall are we now expected to believe Page Hall has ceased to exist ?

No, they're not common at all.

No they are not common at all if you take away the scroates drug dealing and wanna be gangsters protecting there so call turf.

There are very few stabbings or shootings.

We just need to give South Yorkshires Finest the resources to remove the above mentioned from the streets. :help:

Sheffield is officially divided into 100 neighbourhoods and Page Hall isn't one of them. Page Hall is a more informal name for a collection of streets in the Fir Vale neighbourhood isn't it?

When you're getting them nightly, like in Liverpool at the moment, no they're not common.

There was one shooting earlier this week just yards from kids playing.

One incident is too many, but extreme violent crime is very rare - Sheffield is a very safe place to live

Page Hall area got its name from Page Hall which is still standing, but now called Abbey Grange Care home. Fir Vale got its name when the area was wooded and there later was a Fir Vale House which stood between Rushby St and Skinnerthorpe Rd. It is nice to keep the old names from the historical point of view but sad about the reputations these areas now have.
