Delayed
No he didn't, please read the op again. The thread is entitled "Why I'm a conservative!" Don't be pedantic
Waldo
@dutch Do you not think it's all about power, who get's to drive to 'boat' we're all in. People want to drive it, because they want to further their own agendas; and that can very much impact on you (and people you care about). That said, I very much resonate with the points you make. I tend towards pragmatism, and find it more profitable to focus on things within my own sphere of influence, things that more directly impact upon me. Do you notice, like religion, there's a hell of lot of guilt tripping with politics; for example, not voting is especially frowned upon. Expect people to pop up on this very thread explaining how it's out duty to vote, people died so we could vote, etc etc. All very subtle (or not so subtle) ways we have of manipulating each other! ECCOnoob
Mr Corbyn's Labour is the way forward. Tories = selfish tossers who value money above humanity. Yes and when Mr Corbyn has maxed out the credit cards and emptied out the savings accounts to pay for his socialist utopia and spend spend spend philosophy then what's going to happen. Despite supposedly the worst ever Tory election campaign and supposedly their worst ever leader she still got the highest vote share from the last election and won the highest number of seats by some considerable distance away from Corbyn's labour What makes you so arrogant and cocksure that all those people are wrong and he is such a great way forward. Considering before being thrusted into the limelight he has sat on his backside for 30 years on the back benches doing piddle all is hardly a great endorsement. When will people get in there head that politics is a freedom of choice. That choice has happened. Biggest vote share get first dibs at forming a government. Just like it's happened time and time before. The Tories are still in charge get over it.

Yes, Politics is mind, fantasy, dreams but I do vote for the one that is least likely to cause a nightmare. I don't support manipulation of others and rather see people become free individuals who are no longer slaves of their believe systems whether that is religion or politics. All captains will make way for another captain one day or another, their power is momentary, not eternal. When you do find that inner space that is free from politics and economics you find a power within that is eternal. Politics, parties, economics are external. When people say "I" and then explain why, they are confused with the outer and the inner. Of coarse it is needed to maintain some organised control on the outside and have a good captain or the ship will sink and people will die. I am not taking political sides in this topic, every party has its advantages and disadvantages but I couldn't help neutralising this ridiculous money politic business with something to remind that we are free individuals and not political money slaves. Jim Hardie
We did that last year You could be right. Going over old ground now but my own view is that a change as profound as Brexit should have required a 60% vote.

ANGELFIRE1
It's always good fun reading "political" posts. I am surprised that a comedian doesn't use some in their turn. Angel1.
