let's get real Michel Barnie, is just a box ticker, put there to stall the negotiations, till all the French / German election have stabilized.

Barnier and the rest of the EU are still waiting for the shambles of the last UK election to subside, that's why they can't get anywhere because May has less of a mandate, resulting in more fighting in her own party and between parties, meanwhile Davis is too scared of getting the wrongside of anybody in this shambles to make any important decisions to get the UK out of the mess it's gotten itself into.

Maybe its because its not about economics and never was.. ;)

It's all about Farage and the Daily Right Wing Rags anti EU crusade.Economics is collateral damage.

Anyone that voted without considering the economic impact is either an idiot, close to retirement or retired already.

Oh, what's that, the elderly voted strongly in favour of leave? Oh, and the under educated.

Fits my profile perfectly then.

Remaining in the EU is even more so.

This is simply a lie. I thought that maybe the brexiteers had got fed up of being caught out lying by now.

Junker's aid Martin Selmayr (German) has been at it again. He's leaked details of last week's private dinner in Brussels to a German newspaper.

Mr Juncker had assessed Mrs May as being "anxious, despondent and disheartened" during the private meeting.

At last week's dinner, the Prime Minister was said to have "begged for help" and was described as being "marked" by battles over Brexit with her own Conservative ministers.

"May said she had no room left to manoeuvre.

"The Europeans have to create it for her.

"May's face and appearance spoke volumes, Juncker later told his colleagues.

"She has deep rings under her eyes. She looks like someone who can't sleep a wink."

"She smiles for the cameras," it went on, "but it looks forced".
