The Consequences of Brexit [part 4]

Recommended Posts

You are correct it was known as the Common Market when the UK joined in 1973. The correct name at the time was the European Economic Community. The fact the name changed to the EU (European Union) proves the organisation the UK originally joined changed its originally objectives and also changed the rules. The changes all occurred after the 1975 referendum. I have no doubt if the original format had not been changed, then the UK electorate would have not voted to leave in 2016.

The European Economic Community (EEC) was a regional organisation which aimed to bring about economic integration among its member states.

Not that much different?

The city of Leeds cannot become a European Capital of Culture in 2023 because the European Commission has confirmed that a British city cannot hold the lucrative title after we leave. The European Commission has known about this since the referendum vote, but decided to stay quiet in order to cause maximum financial damage to the UK cities competing for the title.

Councillor Judith Blake, leader of Leeds City Council, has stated: "This announcement has been made after cities have submitted their 80 page bids and just four working days before the city was due to meet with the judging panel is shocking."

The UK is currently paying into many special EU funds through its budget contributions (including the updating of infrastructure and transport links for the economic development of new member states in central and Eastern Europe) many of which will only be completed long after the UK has departed from the corrupt EU capitalist club.

The UK must immediately cease to pay into any EU scheme which will only be completed after Brexit. This means that all contributions to the EU budget are halted while investigations into how the money is being spent are conducted, which could take years.

There is quite a bit of difference between economic integration and a political union which the European Union has become.

Justified and proportionate

Anything but.

An attack upon workers pay and conditions by the Bosses front, the EU. And condemned internationally by human rights and labour lawyers throughout the EU.

The right of Trades Unions to take collective action for the protection of their workers against social dumping has been swept aside by the anti-worker EU.

Shameful that the Remainers defend this Capitalist exploitation.

So who are you going to blame when you leave the EU and the jurisdiction of the court and the same thing happens to workers in the UK?

I'll seek to blame those responsible, of course.

Hopefully by the time we have left the EU more and more of the tin-foil hatted, doomsday cult, Remainers (who are convinced that Brexit was all a Russian plot) will have got fed up with being the 'useful idiots' of the Brussels capitalist club and sought professional help.

I see the Brexiteers are cheating again - Davis is not handing over all the documents in Parliament despite having been told to do so...

One rules for the masses, one rule for those in power.

Takes the biscuit - complaining about not being able to take part in a European Union programme when wanting to leave the EU...

Anyone with any brains would have considered it... "hold on, if we aren't part of the organisation that you need to be a member of to take part in a scheme, then maybe we won't be allowed to take part in the scheme..."

Doh!

There was also a very big change when the Maastricht Treaty was signed signalling the beginning of important changes in the structure of the EU.
