The Consequences of Brexit [part 4]

Recommended Posts

I'll seek to blame those responsible, of course.

Hopefully by the time we have left the EU more and more of the tin-foil hatted, doomsday cult, Remainers (who are convinced that Brexit was all a Russian plot) will have got fed up with being the 'useful idiots' of the Brussels capitalist club and sought professional help.

The point is,it can happen inside or outside the EU,whatever anybody thinks of Brexit.

You are correct. The signing of the Maastricht Treaty wasn't supported by many members of the Conservative party when John Mayor was the Prime Minister.

Just a thought and after nearly 4000 posts on this thread . How many of the remain voters on here who were upset about the result and were threatening to leave the country , how many of you have actually left ?

I would be surprised if even a single one has gone.

Or an alternative question, how many who voted leave are brave enough to admit to regret?

The city of Leeds cannot become a European Capital of Culture in 2023 because the European Commission has confirmed that a British city cannot hold the lucrative title after we leave. The European Commission has known about this since the referendum vote, but decided to stay quiet in order to cause maximum financial damage to the UK cities competing for the title.

Councillor Judith Blake, leader of Leeds City Council, has stated: "This announcement has been made after cities have submitted their 80 page bids and just four working days before the city was due to meet with the judging panel is shocking."

The UK is currently paying into many special EU funds through its budget contributions (including the updating of infrastructure and transport links for the economic development of new member states in central and Eastern Europe) many of which will only be completed long after the UK has departed from the corrupt EU capitalist club.

The UK must immediately cease to pay into any EU scheme which will only be completed after Brexit. This means that all contributions to the EU budget are halted while investigations into how the money is being spent are conducted, which could take years.

That's fine by me,as long as the EU don't grant any Brexit interim period to the UK without the UK adhering to every EU rule, plus it doesn't give any rebate back to the UK,as of when they decide to stop payments in.

I would be surprised if even a single one has gone.

The European Union decided Monday that the European Medicines Agency will move to Amsterdam ahead of Britain's departure from the bloc in March 2019.

A second agency based in London, the European Banking Authority, will relocate to Paris.

And we will need to set up our own UK Medicines Agency and Banking Authority, but we will pay for it, not the EU.
