The Consequences of Brexit [part 4]

Recommended Posts

Spot on, plus over the nasty middle aged story tellers who's idea of happiness is a million people dying since the referendum and hoping most of them voted for brexit.

That’s one million pensions the nation doesn’t have to cough up for.

So now the nation can afford to pay for this Brexit that you all want, despite the fact you have no idea how to implement it.

Next step is for you Brexiters to agree on what type of Brexit it will be.

Soft Brexit?

Hard Brexit?

WTO rules or not?

Will we have a free trade agreement with the openly protectionist Trumpet or not?

When will we #MBGA ?

What of the one billion Indians coming here to take your jobs?

Will Sir Nige’ ever get his knighthood?

When do we reopen the coal mines? The proud folk of Baaaaaaaaaarnsley need work :help:

Should never have been closed while the rest of the world including the EU continue to puther their coal fired power plants, those proud folk of Barnsley most who never lived to see a pension are worth ten of you.

Interesting points though. How is Barnsley going to attract employers once we leave the EU?

What is the council doing? What is the government doing?

The 97% white British population, the fraction of that complaining that immigrunts are stealing their jobs and stretching public services, or the 3% balance? ;)

:hihi:

At large employers in Barnsley (such as ASOS) the workforce is over 75 per cent of Eastern European heritage.

I guess the majority of those economic migrants don't actually live in Barnsley, but are transported in from places as far away as Doncaster, Sheffield and Leeds.

It's an EU regulation and comes into power before the UK leaves the EU.

Correct. It's a huge improvement on the Uk's outdated Data Protection Act and adherence is necessary for us to provide service to EU business.

Now what's the forum for resolving a dispute? The ECJ provides that service. But withdrawal from the ECJ is part of withdrawing from the EU.

So we will have an equivalent law but no standard place to resolve a dispute. And we can expect the legislation to diverge over time. Oddly that is sold as "cutting red tape" by Brexiters but actually it creates red tape!

It would be far simpler to remain part of the single market and continue to share the development of regulations with our neighbours.

Also a lot of the warehouses and distribution centres are filled full EU migrants - I met a few the other week. Why don't the good people of goldthorpe and thurnscoe work there? You'd expect near zero unemployment round there, and it really isn't.
