Not playing with numbers at all.

I was replying to a poster who claimed that 'the British people voted to LEAVE by pointing out that the majority of British people DID NOT vote to leave.

Like it or not that is the most important factor in this whole debate. The government is trying to push through a policy that is not supported by the majority of people in Britain. This is a fact that you can't ignore.

Although, 5.2 out of 10 cats, whose owners expressed a preference chose to leave the EU.

If you want something politically, and you're not a politician, you have to vote for it. If there aren't any politicians you want to vote for, you've got the job!

Stop playing with numbers . Of the 100% that bothered to vote , 52% voted to leave , 48% voted to remain

The man's a maths genius!

Another crack in Theresa May’s position as the reality kicks in.

Immigration quotas will be adjusted because of the 10,000 vacancies for doctors and 30,000 nurses.

So as many of us accept,on balance immigration is both necessary and beneficial which is a different message to that propagated prior to the referendum by the right wing press and politicians.

It’s not only the medical world where we need both talented people and a willing workforce.

Of course several years have passed since the vote, and a whole bunch of young adults who were denied the ability to express a preference are now eligible to vote on such things.

And a group who voted 65%+ to leave have seen quite a few of their members shuffle off this mortal coil since then.

It was such a narrow result that by the time it actually happens it's highly likely that public opinion will have entirely flipped, and that's just based on voting demographics, not people actually changing their mind.

More bad Brexit news.

UK rebuffed over Galileo sat-nav procurement

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-44474569

UK firms are excluded from bidding on the European GPS project as contracts are for post March next year, when the UK will no longer be part of the ESA.

Makes sense, although brexiters will just say its the EU spitting out the dummy

Change of post direction, slightly. Should all the remoaning remaining MP's whose constituency's voted to leave the corrupt EU (aka Anna Soubry, remoaner in chief) be deselected. They are not representing their constituents wishes, which they were elected to do, yes/no.

If we have discussed this before, apologies.:loopy:

Angel1.

No, because no constituency voted 100% leave did it?

In her resignation letter to Mr Corbyn, Ms Reeves said her Lewisham West and Penge constituency had voted by two to one to stay in the EU and hundreds had contacted her in support of staying part of the EEA.

Perhaps they had confidence in the leave voters.

I have this exact situation with my MP , Angela Smith. She is a remoaner , yet her constituency voted leave. In my opinion she should resign because she is going against the wishes of the very people who voted her in .

Given that over 65% of Labour voters backed remain, how can you possibly say that she is going against the wishes of the very people who voted her in?
