A night giving the stage over to a whole host of local musicians. Expect beautiful ballads right through to burning Be-Bop; meaningful Mainstream to mad Modal; furious Funk to the frightfully Free; lively Latin to luscious Lounge; and classic Cool through to the curiously Contemporary! 8.30pm, free entry. Tuesday 27th June: Electric Blues Jam Hosted by Michael Beety and Chillo Angelini of Laughing Gravy, our twice monthly Blues jam is a tour de force of blues and blues rock. Accompanied by Sheffield's best blues musicians this is one not to miss - 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month 9pm, free entry. Wednesday 28th June: Quiz Night The highly irreverent Quiz is every Wednesday at The White. Hosted by the inimitable Mr Bling, you and your team must overcome 3 rounds of general knowledge, an audio round and a picture round in order to claim the prize. £30 + more to be won! Throw into the mix some random challenges, spot prizes, lashings of real ale and a completely free buffet with veggie, vegan and gluten-free options and you're onto a winner. 9pm, 50p entry Thursday 29th June: Jam Night Hosted by Sheffield legend Chris Firminger and backed by his regular house band The TwoJays, this evening provides a platform for musicians from all over Sheffield and further afield. Renowned for the musicians it attracts, the Thursday Jam sees regular attendance and performance from the likes of Julian Jones, The Carnival, Open Jaw Fayre, The Crashers, Grave Danger, Fahrenheit, Vamp and many more. Full backline and P.A. provided, come watch or join in. 8.30pm, free entry Friday 30th June: Iron Sphincter Iron Sphincter, the zombie band, are an experience like no other. Resurrecting the hits of yesteryear with a punk and metal ethic, combined with full on gore and zombie cabaret - be prepared for something very different at The White as we celebrate Toni and Dave's joint Hag Do. Support provided by Bones Park Rider 8.30pm, free entry Saturday 1st July: The Crashers Rock, Pop and Indie from this fantastic Sheffield 4-Piece. We love having them here, you love watching them - what's not to like? A great and entertaining band and certainly one not to be missed. 9.30pm, free entry Sunday 2nd July: Chris McMahon's Folk Afternoon Hosted by renowned musician Chris McMahon of Treebeard, a Sunday afternoon session of folk music. Expect traditional, expect contemporary, expect the unexpected! Each month features a special guest performer and this month it's Paul Pearson. Affectionately known as the Steel Town Troubadour, Paul, from Sheffield, specializes in taking songs from excellent but obscure songwriters and turning them into PP Originals. If the names Ron Trueman-Border, Paul Jones or Tom Pacheco mean anything to you, you'll be aware of the quality of the material. If you've witnessed Paul's natural, controlled aggression and sheer passion, you'll know it's an explosive combination.
