Road resurfacing, Amey & Streets Ahead

Recommended Posts

They are resurfacing a section of burngreave road today,  for the third time! They did if for the cycling a couple of years ago, then they did it again not long after even though there was nothing wrong with it.  Now they are doing it again for no reason what so ever!

Dont get it.

I agree , it's a few years old , yet there's still roads in Sheffield that haven't been done in thirty years

Looks in need of resurfacing to me.

Wasn't it put down about 20 years ago to serve the airport?

If that was put down twenty years ago , someone needs to be held accountable for it , but guess what ? They wont

20 years is hardly "a few years" per your last post - and it's probably taken more hammer than some of the roads that haven't been done in 30 years.

Have a look at Kent Council's website - maintenance needed 15 to 20 years after a complete renewal.

We are in Sheffield.  Many roads are in a far worse condition  than that and still waiting to be done under the  contract . Are you trying to say  that new roads  should be redone after 20 years ?
