I know someone whose card got worn down by wear and tear and he was refused a replacement card, has had to fork out twice in a week for a month of travel on buses. It is worth bearing in mind that you will not get refunded if your cheap piece of plastic falls asunder. You could be penniless and these people will ensure you buy a new card or walk home.
