El Cid
We are advised that our email system is not 100% secure so we use snail mail in all instances. When corresponding with agents or customers we have to get them to sign a waiver to say that they understand the risks if they want to use email. How safe is Royal Mail? My view is that sending an email directly to the person is safer than passing a letter to Royal Mail for them to give the person the message. Well...I would respond that we use TNT, but they've suffered a massive computer failure so most of our mail is now going via Royal Mail. Mind you they couldn't be as much screw ups as TNT could they...surely...?

To be honest it may be faster but that's all as its certainly less secure.
Jeffrey Shaw
Royal Mail, whilst expensive, delivers everywhere in the UK for a fixed price and more or less reliably. You don't need the recipient's e-mail address and there's minimal risk of a mis-typed postal address leading to non-delivery.
