Waldo
Want to put some plasterboard over some tiles, can break some tiles to get a rough surface, presumably that will allow for a better bond attaching the pasterboard to wall? What kind of glue should I use, it's only a small area, about 2.4 by 1 meters.
mafya
I would take all the tiles off and stick the plasterboard on using plasterboard adhesive, anything stuck onto tiles will eventually fall off.

Thanks for your advice mafya. Just thinking it will be an uneven clumpy mess after I remove the tiles. That won't be a problem when using the plasterboard adhesive? bertyboop
We took the tiles off first as they came off scarily easy ( after 20 odd years on the wall). If your tiles haven't been on as long, or just as long, make sure they are stable enough to hold the plasterboard first.
top4718
If you dont want to hack all the tiles off check for any that are loose and remove those then coat them in Unibond PVA allow it to go off and away you go. The plasterboard adhesive will adhere to this very well.
