The earth has been going through cycles of warming and cooling for billions of years, long before humans existed, and those who understand the science know this. They also know that mankinds puny attempts to influence this are pointless. However, they also know that vast amounts of money are available in research funds for anybody who comes up with some weird new theory about how we can combat all these natural processes. So their thinking is biased because they will lose out if their lifestyle has to change. Right wingers are more likely to deny climate change. The billionaire Al Gore complains the rich are to blame.
