whitelion Posted September 12, 2017 Share Posted September 12, 2017 Tuesday 12th September: Electric Blues Jam Hosted by Michael Beety and Chillo Angelini of Laughing Gravy, our twice monthly Blues jam is a tour de force of blues and blues rock. Accompanied by Sheffield's best blues musicians this is one not to miss - 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month 9pm, free entry. Wednesday 13th September: Quiz Night The highly irreverent Quiz is every Wednesday at The White. Hosted by the inimitable Mr Bling, you and your team must overcome 3 rounds of general knowledge, an audio round and a picture round in order to claim the prize. £30 + more to be won! Throw into the mix some random challenges, spot prizes, lashings of real ale and a completely free buffet with veggie, vegan and gluten-free options and you're onto a winner. 9pm, 50p entry Thursday 14th September: Jam Night Hosted by Sheffield legend Chris Firminger and backed by his regular house band The TwoJays, this evening provides a platform for musicians from all over Sheffield and further afield. Renowned for the musicians it attracts, the Thursday Jam sees regular attendance and performance from the likes of Julian Jones, The Carnival, Open Jaw Fayre, The Crashers, Grave Danger, Fahrenheit, Vamp and many more. Full backline and P.A. provided, come watch or join in. 8.30pm, free entry Friday 15th September: Vyndictive Rock, pop and little bit of soul thrown in as the lads from Vyndictive take you on a whistlestop tour of the last four decades. An outstanding band, it's going to be a great evening in their company once again. 9.30pm, free entry Saturday 16th September: Open Jaw Fayre From the Foo Fighters to The Beatles, from U2 to The Killers, Open Jaw Fayre have got the lot. Chewie and his merry band are here to bring you the very best in modern rock and indie, with plenty of old school classics to boot. 9.30pm, free entry Sunday 17th September: Open Kitchen Social Fundraiser For this month's Sunday afternoon White Lion session, the music comes from Two Foot Left and Barang! DJs Katsugi, Kom Kom and Nez, which means plenty of bass, plenty of riddim, and plenty of smiles from far flung corners of the world. It's also a massive welcome home to Sheffield for the wonderful Aejaz, who you may know better as DJ Disorientalist, who will also be spinning some tunes.
