Boris Johnson international gaffe on road to Mandalay

Recommended Posts

He's desperately trying to get sacked. Quite funny to watch.

A well known personality trait of conservatives is the importance they place on in-group loyalty.

So when things go awry, or there's transparent attempts of undermining other members within the group, you'll often find that conservatives remains in tact even when the <removed> hits the fan.

And this is why its traditionally harder to upseat a conservative government.

You'll just have to wait until next year to see what's being planned with the British Commonwealth. It's all very exciting!

Planned with or planned for? If it has the UK in a dominant position the other commonwealth countries won't accept it. If it doesn't have the UK in a dominant position then leavers won't like it as it will just switch the UK from 'giving up sovereignty' to a group of countries we have a lot in common with to 'giving up sovereignty' to a different group of countries we have far less in common with.

True, a bunch of wealthy privately-educated toffs pretending to be anti-establishment, when they are the establishment.

Still, it’s a policy that’s worked for them so far

absolutely agree

Right-whingers may hate each other (it’s in their nature) but they will unite against a common enemy.

The Lefties though, trying to unite them is like herding cats. It’s like the Monty Python film, the judean people’s front against the people’s front of judea. If they could put aside their petty squabbles and unite, they’d be much more effective.
