Right up until my 20's, my mum ( who was lovely, but a bit old fashioned ), used to say it's not a good idea. As for if they really wanted to go out with you, they'd ask you out themselves. I'm in a sombre mood anyway. trouble is, there’s not many single ladies left out there so I won’t invest time and effort into flirting with my work colleagues as the chances are they’re already in a relationship with somebody way below what I’m capable of providing. Regardless of gender, if a person really likes another person and wants to spend some time with them, then asking them if they'd like it too is Ok in my book.
