Historically they get a C+ for accuracy, well below the median of all pollsters. They weren't the only pollsters who called for Trump either... IBD/TIPP did also (and were more accurate), as did USC/LA Times polls. Rasmussen predicted Mitt Romney would win against Obama by a landslide in 2012. They came 24th out of 28 pollsters for accuracy in that election They, by their own admission, disproportionately poll conservatives under their "likely voters" methodology. Of course "likely voters" actually means more conservatives since, statistically, conservatives are more likely to vote. Hence their polls are always heavily biased towards conservative viewpoints. They predicted Trump not because their polling was more accurate but because if it's looking close they'll always predict a win for the conservative candidate because of that methodology.
