Mr Trump - All discussion here

He is NOT our friend. Ask the good people at Bombardiar in Northern Ireland just how much of a friend trump and America are. He might do something if North Korea launched a nuke, but, like Reagan, if the argies invaded the falklands again he'd do **** all. Expect to get royally screwed on any trade deal. You didn't expect a fair one did you?

The US did assist Britain in the Falklands war in a limited way. They assisted with satellite reconnaissance and they supplied the SAS with "stingers", hand held ground to air missile launchers to take out Argie planes.

Well, OBarmy said we were bottom of the list, Trumpy says we are at the top. Think I would go with Trump when the dung hits the fan.

Indeed, UK's delegation described by the US as "like turning up to play at Wimbledon with a table tennis bat" ;)

And filled up our ships and gave us intelligence.

Its a far cry from the **** all you mention.

Filled up our ships for free? No. Sold us more stuff. A US navy fleet might have been a help, particularly to HMS Sheffield. Next time the Americans come calling for help in some ill thought invasion why don't we sell them some missiles and give them some maps.
