The American system is different to ours as you well know;  you are still a participating lawmaker even when your party isn't in the whitehouse.

If you're an elected member of one of the houses, Biden isn't.

Biden was not in office in any capacity, at all, throughout Trumps presidency.

"Trump Loses Contempt of Court Appeal", is what I said! :loopy:

NO he didn't!

He lost his appeal against the fine that was being levied, while he prepares his Appeal on the actual Charge of Contempt.

Get it?  :)

He was unemployed! :)

But his son was busy! :)

The appeal against the fine was lost in April.

Trumps appeal to have the contempt order purged, failed in June :?

Really?  :)

Trump no longer deemed in contempt of court in New York case.

Attorney general agrees recent submissions of personal records comply with order

Donald Trump has been released from a contempt of court order which cost him $110,000 US in fines.

Donald Trump is no longer in contempt of court, a New York judge ruled Wednesday.

Judge Arthur Engoron, who declared the former president in contempt on April 25 for being slow to respond to a civil subpoena issued by New York's attorney general, said Trump has now met conditions required to lift the sanction following a protracted legal battle.

The judge had ordered Trump to pay $10,000 US a day until he complied with Letitia James' subpoena, which was issued in December.

A convicted thief is no longer ordered to be imprisoned when they've met the conditions of their sentence, they are released...

...they were still convicted of theft!:?

"has now met conditions required"!

Trump was forced to meet the conditions of the order...

...because his appeal against it failed!

The conviction for contempt that led to the order, and the fines imposed... still stand!

Lol

Confused much? Or just desperate?

There is no "Conviction".

A Contempt of Court citation is lifted when the subject complies with the motion.

CNN

June 29, 2022

Donald Trump is no longer in contempt of court for failing to comply with NY AG subpoena

"New York Supreme Court Judge Arthur Engoron said he reviewed additional documents Trump submitted and the attorney general’s office agreed that the conditions to purge his contempt had been met.

"Engoron said Wednesday that the $110,000 that Trump paid in fines will be held in an escrow account pending his appeal being finalized.

:)

Which, of course, still means that Trump was found to be in contempt...

...it also means your claims re: Bill Clinton are false :?

Sure, that appeal... that never happened :?

As above, Trump lost his actual attempts to appeal, and ultimately complied with the ruling.

No, he complied and had the Contempt motion "PURGED".

A Contempt motion, or any Court order, like a Restraining Order is not a "CONVICTION".

"New York Supreme Court Judge Arthur Engoron said he reviewed additional documents Trump submitted and the attorney general’s office agreed that the conditions to purge his contempt had been met".

Will yer be said!  :)

Now with the documents provided by Trump, NY Attorney General Leticia James' preparation for trial on "charges" (he fraudulently inflated the values of his assetts, while negotiang bank loans) can proceed.

There will be a trial, unless she drops the charges.

It's all good!  :)

You can't purge something that, you claim, didn't exist :?

So your claim re: Bill Clinton's criminal conviction... didn't happen...

...he got a fine, exactly as Trump did.

By your own metric, Bill is as innocent, or as guilty, as Trump is!

That's a lot of waffle to concede that Trump did indeed lose all his appeals in the matter
