Aw! No arrest warrant!

Sorry folks!  :)

Just a "Civil Suit" against the Trump Organization, and all who are involved with it, obviously including Trump and his family.

Possible penalties the New York AG is seeking?

The Guardian

"James detailed the relief she is seeking. Measures include “asking the court again to permanently bar Mr Trump, Donald Trump Jr, Eric Trump and Ivanka Trump from serving as an officer or director and any corporation or similar business entity registered or licensed in New York state”.

James also aims to bar “Trump and his organization from entering into any New York state commercial real estate acquisition for five years. We are barring Mr Trump and the Trump Organization from applying for any loans from any financial institution registered with the New York Department of Financial Services for five years.

“We are requiring Mr Trump and the Trump Organization to disgorge the financial benefits obtained through the persistent fraudulent practices, an estimated a baseline at the minimum of $250m and to appoint an independent monitor at the Trump Organization to oversee compliance financial reporting valuations and disclosures to lenders, insurers and tax authorities for no less than five years.”

No jail time for civil suits.

So a fine, and no more business dealings in New York State for 5 years.

That won't affect Trump. He moved his operations to Florida a couple years ago!  :)

Of course AG Ms James is currently running for office in New York's November elections so she was expected to move, but this has to be a little  disappointing to the Democrat pitchfork mob, who have the orange jump suits already waxed and readied.

So, this will take months or years to adjucate, but she has done her job, which is to hurl yet another accusation against Trump before the Mid Term elections.

Now she's a shoo-in.  :)

You appear to have not noticed.

James said her office uncovered evidence of federal criminal violations including issuing false statements to financial institutions and bank fraud, and had referred the matter to the southern district of New York and the IRS.

Penalties for federal offences won't be limited to New York State. Even without that, exposing Trump's deceiving of his lenders is going to make anybody very wary of lending any of them money in future and they'll never get good interest rates again.

I noticed.

I also noticed that you have already found him guilty, and even told us what the outcome will be.  :)

But you're not alone there. It's been going on for 6 years now, and the number of "allegations" is off the charts.

Longer, even, Obama's IRS have had all Trump's Tax Returns for 8 years, and found nothing wrong!  They even leaked the worst of them to the New York Times a couple of years ago, and even THEY couldn't find any illegality. :)

But "allegations" are just that, until proven in a Court of Law. Not in the political kangaroo court, or the MSM court of popular opinion.

You heard if here first, from the poster of "law and order", massive fraud over decades... nothing to see here. :hihi:

Sure... well, except in a civil case, Trumps use of the 5th can be used against him....

...and, according to most reports, would spell the end of the Trump real estate empire. :?

‘He’s done’

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2022/sep/21/donald-trump-lawsuit-new-york-investigation

“He’s got too many burdens, too much baggage to be able to run again even presuming he escapes jail, he escapes bankruptcy. I’m not sure

he’s going to escape jail.”

- Allan Lichtman, history professor at American University, in Washington, who has accurately predicted every presidential election since 1984.

[the civil component] “involves things of particular significance to Trump and his family and his organisation, namely their ability to defraud the public, to defraud banks, to defraud insurance companies, and to continue to subsist through corruption. Without all of that corruption, the entire Trump empire is involved in something like meltdown.

Trump is probably more concerned with things of this kind than he is with having to wear an orange jumpsuit and maybe answer a criminal indictment … As a practical matter, this is probably going to cause more sleepless nights for Mr Trump than almost anything else.

- Laurence Tribe, constitutional law professor at Harvard University.

It wasn't that they might be wrong that was at issue :?

Obama's IRS? Laughable!

How was it Obama's IRS a couple of years ago... when Trump was president?

Including yours on this forum, most of which are directed at people who have already been proven innocent (by your metric)! :hihi:

Trumps own pick thinks he's full of it...

...seems the judiciary, on appeal, agree:

Appeals court allows DOJ to resume review of classified records in Trump case:

I don't care too much for Trump, but he was elected President by a lawful process, whatever one's opinion.  However no one is surprised to learn that he had made his money my sleight of hand, shall we say.

However he may boast and bluster,  the US In ternal Revenue Service are after him.  Ninety years ago in the USA a chap called Al Capone was evading all sorts of law enforcement until someone noticed that he hadn't paid any taxes.........
