Guest
Congratulations to Raphael Warnock for his win in Georgia , defeating the Trump-endorsed Herschel Walker! Quote The Democratic incumbent, Raphael Warnock, won the Georgia Senate runoff on Tuesday, securing his first full term and delivering a 51st seat to bolster his party’s majority in the chamber. The Associated Press called the race about three and a half hours after polls closed in Georgia, as Warnock led the Republican candidate, Herschel Walker, by approximately 40,000 votes. Walker had been an enthusiastic Trump supporter, and Trump returned the favour (the pair are long-time associates dating back to the early 80s): Quote Former President Donald Trump on Thursday gave Republican former football star Herschel Walker his “Complete and Total Endorsement” in Georgia’s US Senate race, praising him as “a friend, a Patriot and an outstanding American who is going to be a GREAT United States Senator.” “Herschel Walker will never let you down,” Trump said in a statement. Walker in turn thanked the former President in a tweet, writing: “Together, we will win back the U.S. Senate for GEORGIA!!” Trump endorses Herschel Walker in Georgia Senate race Despite having the taint of Trump on him, and despite having had a, shall we say, eventful run for the Senate, Walker promptly conceded and does seem to have indicated that unlike the losers who continued to follow Trump's cheating, lying ways, he will not challenge the result: Quote Walker conceded, acknowledging that his campaign had fallen short and expressing gratitude to his team. The Republican explicitly thanked election officials who ensured the runoff was managed effectively, quelling concerns he might refuse to accept the result. But who knows? Perhaps Trump will be on the phone (once he's finished tantruming and flinging his dinner at the walls about the many and varied criming convictions his company suffered yesterday) and urge Walker to carry on in the Trump tradition of lying, grifting and cheating until they drag him off the stage. In a multibillion dollar financial enterprise you can always find a "tax dodger", if you look hard and long enough with an unlimited government budget. I'm surprised they only found one! Weisselberg "pleaded guilty to charges that he manipulated the company’s books to illegally reduce his taxes on $1.7 million in fringe benefits. He testified in exchange for a promised five-month jail sentence". "The Company faces a fine of up to $1.6 million". 3 years of digging and mulling over 15 years of records! Not to mention the MSM hype. Did they get their money's worth? He said: "nobody in the Trump family knew what he was doing. “It was my own personal greed that led to this,” an emotional Weisselberg testified." - AP NEWS https://apnews.com/article/business-new-york-manhattan-donald-trump-government-and-politics-86177401a887c85ab50d8b78eb1ed397 Keep those pitchforks sharpened, but aim them at Trump! And Liz Cheney out of office. That's politics! Who is "...we..."? This is not a game and you are not a voter or a Republican. Thanks to Trump your assertion that Biden's "... party is staring at some horrendous generic ballot numbers, too: (Republicans vs Democrats) A seven-point (Republican) lead among registered voters, which balloons to 13 points among the likeliest voters...", became a ripple. Have Trumps chances of becoming the oldest ever President improved?
