Trump made a conditional deal with the Taliban, deal to leave Afghanistan by May 1, 2021, if the Taliban negotiated a peace agreement with the Afghan government.

 

It also called for a POW Swap 5,000 to the Taliban and 1000 to the Afghani Government.

 

Biden tore up the original agreement, and did not leave Afghanistan on the Agreed Date, and by the time he decided to get out, there WAS no Afghani government!

Sadly, the Afghan government was fatally wounded by the DOHA deal, the Taliban didn't feel they really needed to bother.

 

Fortunately for Biden, the majority of Americans think the pull-out was the right decision, regardless of how it was handled... and largely blame Bush for the entire escapade!
