Another piece of dog doodoo thrown at the wall.  :)

Will it stick?

No, not this one. You can take it to the bank!

These socialists, who have never had real jobs, in the real world, do not know how businesses operate.

When applying for loans to  build a business, a hotel, a factory, or even to buy a new house, the applicant provides an appraisal, and a business plan for repayment  to the lending institution.

The lender, experts in the field, will undertake their own appraisal and analysis of the proposal.

It is called "due diligence" and is required by all lending institutions, to safeguard their assets, and the interests of their shareholders, and insurers. They wisely and routinely disregard the claims of the borrower before granting loans.

The onus is on the lending institution to evaluate the claims of the borrower, to avoid the many inevitable defaults that occur when a business plan fails. In this case of a no such defaults occured, according to all reports.

The "finding" is under appeal, and as everybody acknowledges, this could take years to adjudicate, and there is no law against optimism!  :)

So file this one in the "pending" bin, with the others!  But this is one that is sure to die on the vine!

As usual, IMHO  :)

So anyone with with centre left politics has never operated in the real world and has no idea of the workings of the world of finance ,whereas the financial institutions are bastions of probity and can be relied upon to operate with good practice.

These experts(a term much derided in other contexts) are there to safeguard sensible financial decisions.

That is far from the truth considering the financial crashes caused by some very bad practices which were fashionable at some point in time.

Surely you remember some of these disasters

Them an all.

For the first time in my life I got a good seat at a Blades match. The first one we got stiffed by a homer referee, who kindly gave Tottenham an extra 12 minutes to tie, then win the game.  The second one was an embarrassing, 8-0, at home?

I'm done with 'em all!

Unless.........  :)

Same here T ,  Notts County for me now ,  I always follow a Towns original club , Owt else is pointless .

Sheffield Club then?

I certainly don't blame you in not following a club that chose of its own free will to  leave the Town as The Wednesday did. Glad to see you've finally seen the light 👍

You think that Trump, a man who has never had a proper job in his life and lies, cheats and commits fraud on a daily basis knows or cares how legitimate business operate?

Had he invested the money his father left him in Fortune 500 companies he would now be a multi billionaire with no debt instead of boasting that he's " The King of Debt ". https://www.politico.com/story/2016/06/trump-king-of-debt-224642

The Wednesday Football club formed in 1867 changed its name to Sheffield Wednesday in 1929, by which time Hillsborough where it had moved to from Olive Grove Heeley had been taken into the city boundary.

United were formed in 1889 as Sheffield United, and are the oldest club in the world to be known as United. The Blades have never played home games anywhere but Sheffield, and have been known by the city name for forty years longer than the deserters.

I take it you're not from these parts?

There is only one Wednesday football club World wide , go abroad and say you are from Sheffield and it instantly comes  'we know that its were Sheffield Wednesday play.

You forgot to mention that the club's formed by the cricket team at Bramall Lane and played matches there years before the Johny come lately's were formed .

As usual ignore the facts , PS played in European competitions anal. And been to Wembley FINALS IN RECENT HISTORY, And have won the Ist  division title more times than the copy cats who I believe won it once a couple of centuries ago /

Trump that just to keep on topic

A lot of Wednesdayites are as delusional as Trump, just to keep it on topic.  You've got a daft name so what? Not having played in the Premier League this century most people abroad would assume that Sheffield Wednesday was a weekly midweek local magazine, like Grapevine.

The Lane was never your home ground, you hired it, it has always been United's home ground. You chose to leave the city and also chose to reregister the club in June 1990 in order to avoid being charged with any responsibility for the tragedy that happened there the year before.

Your club is an embarrassment to the city, winding it in a bit might not be a bad idea.

The same as the result when Wednesday played Newcastle in the final season of the last century, which is the last time they played in that division.

Are you seriously equating a sporting event with a tragedy which cost lives and the deliberate  avoidance of responsibility by the directors of the club involved?
