The thread is about Trump. I don't care about the left, you're apparently obsessed with them, but I'm not. Biden is ( as I said on page 662 # 7942 of this thread ) way past his sell by date.  Although job creation during his term in office would say he's not doing that badly.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/59402975  but that's not who the thread is about.

It's about Trump and his complete lack of character and unsuitability to be allowed anywhere near the levers of power.

Trump is an isolationist, which sounds fine until you take into consideration the fact that the west relies on Americas overwhelming military firepower to help deter Russia and other countries from getting expansionist ideas. That may not be ideal but it's the way things stand at present.

Trump and Putin are big buddies, they hold private meetings, something unheard of previously.

Trump has called Putin a genius and praised his invasion of Ukraine.

Unlike yourself Trump has no problem with lefties, he admires them in fact.

I rather think you are using a bit of historical licence there .

He called it pretty savvy.

He has also called the invasion a crime and has condemned Putin.

Historic licence? Did you read the link? He said it was a genius move, and called Putin very savvy as the person responsible for making the  move. It's clear how highly he regards that ' genius ' isn't it?

He may well have backtracked when it finally got through to him that no one else thought it was such a brilliant idea, and when it turned out to actually be a stupid idea.

Trump is a great admirer of Putin, an undemocratic despot who starts wars and has the blood of thousands of innocents on his hands. Strange bedfellows wouldn't you say?

According to an ex British MI6 operative who was head of the MI6 Russia desk and served in Moscow from 1990 to 1993 and later investigated the poisoning of Alexander Litvenenko in London there may well be a reason why Trump is so complimentary about Putin.

You'd be well advised to catch up with the news!

Only a few hard left dupes and shills are still flogging Hillary's  "Russian Collusion", "Pee Tapes", and "Secret Trump Tower links to Russian Banks".

Biden said....."Instead of doing anything to help make Americans’ lives better, they are focused on attacking me with lies. Instead of doing their job on the urgent work that needs to be done, they are choosing to waste time on this baseless political stunt that even Republicans in Congress admit is not supported by facts,” Biden said. “The American people deserve better.”

The irony!!!

Only a few hard right dupes and shills are still under the ridiculous impression that Trump is fit for office.

No one is perfect, every one of us has some flaw, some of us have a number of flaws, but thankfully few among us  have no redeeming feature whatsoever.

Trump is one of those few. He is an unmitigated liar, a racist, a misogynist, a man who insults better men than he could ever be, he has encouraged the use of violence on numerous occasions, whilst taking care to avoid any chance of being involved himself. He has insulted the disabled, he lacks any sense of propriety or sense of humour and cheats at golf.

Personally I don't play golf but according to my mates who do that's apparently his major fault 🙄.

Anyone who continues to support Trump after becoming aware of his lack of character can have little if any common decency themselves.

A few?

70 odd million isn't a few.

At the last General Election in the UK  over 13.9 million people voted for the Conservative Party and over 10.2 million for the Labour Party.

How many of those voters were voting for Johnson or Corbyn?  I'm sure a number of them were but a substantial number were simply voting for the party they've always voted for.

Personally I thought that both of the main party leaders were useless and neither one was suitable for office. I voted Liberal in protest and can't even remember the ladies name who led the party at the time.

I'd assume it's pretty much the same in the US.
