You'd think cos they were getting somewhere they would put the practices on hold, surely? These are two separate things, although somewhat connected parts of the overall picture. NK has already pulled out of talks with SK due to the joint US/SK military exercise. The threat to pull out of the separate talks with the US came on the back of that withdrawal, stating that if nuclear disarmament was a requirement for progress, there won't be any dialogue. He threatens him with a few rockets and possibly a nuclear bomb and he gets the leader of the free world to negotiate and promise all sorts of goodies. Brilliant.
