Jared Omara MP ..

I emailed him at the beginning of December requesting help, I got a quick reply from Lucy in the Parliamentary Office and have had several conversations with her since. There has been nothing from Jared personally but that's perhaps how it works. At least someone in his office is doing his constituency work for him and earning his salary for him.

He can't be sacked, the Labour party don't employ him. All they can do is suspend him from the party, which they've done.

Better: he [Toby Young] couldn't be sacked because he never actually started the job!

Interesting piece on Mr Omara on the Daily Politics this lunch time. Mr Neil listed all the quite nasty rubbish spouted by Mr Omara, then asked the LIEbour Lady MP why Toby Young was "sacked" but Mr Omara seems to be ungetridable of. Must admit it was the best bit of the show watching said MP trying to give a coherent answer.

Perhaps because O'Mara hasn't a job from which he can be sacked, unlike Young.
