melthebell
from what I heard the shooter killed himself apparently he had been hit by a "good samaritan" and knew he was on the way out so took the easy option
Ontarian1981
R.I.P. to all victims, can this man not know he was shooting at children? He probably didn't care how old his victims were. Schools with young chidren have actually been targeted in the past, in Scotland and in Connecticut, for example.Twenty plusd killed both times. chalga
So,what Trump is now saying,is that if access to guns is further restricted, the shooters who shoot the shooters won't have the guns to shoot the shooters.

And he would be correct. If guns are restricted like over here, the criminals and nutjobs will still find a way to get hold of them. Take them away from the average Joe then only the criminals and the law will have them. If the civilians hadn't engaged the shooter in Texas the death toll could have been far higher. So what is the death toll from restricted access in the UK,compared with the death toll from liberal access in America?

Until "Average Joe" gets drunk and has an argument with his girlfriend and shoots her, and himself. Or "Average Joe's" toddler goes in in her mum's handbag, fishes out a (we only bought it for protection) handgun and shoots her sister. Or "Average Joe" gets fired and decides he doesn't like the world or its inhabitants any more, especially not his ex-colleagues.......

But the flaw in that entire argument was that according to the reports the shooter was tackled and driven away OUTSIDE the church. He had already stopped shooting and was escaping. So the civilians in this case prevented his successful escape, NOT the massacre.

I must have misheard. ---------- Post added 07-11-2017 at 15:23 ---------- Until "Average Joe" gets drunk and has an argument with his girlfriend and shoots her, and himself. Youre preaching to the choir I agree with all those points but then Ive been raised in a country where guns are not an integral part of the culture.
