Greed of the Super Rich, Lizzie in Trouble.

Recommended Posts

Here you are, unless this is lies, cannot see FORBES lying, can you.

Queen Elizabeth II’s net worth.

The Queen’s personal fortune remains unknown, but in 2016 Forbes estimated that her private wealth came to £415million ($530million).

This estimate includes her private real estate portfolio including Sandringham House, Balmoral Castle, real estate in London and agricultural land across the country.

Forbes admits having to estimate; and non-E&W denizens often have no idea of Trust Law.

She has no such private real estates; all those cited are, I think you'll find, trust properties.

The way to analyse it is: who is the legal owner and who has power of disposal?

The answer to both is the trustees, not the beneficiary for life.

Yes indeed.

I saw this mentioned on TV too.

That and Lizzie is all about downplaying this.

It's comparing chalk and cheese.

There's a big difference in the individual super rich deliberately investing millions in tax dodging schemes, and a little bit of Joe Bloggs pension contribution being invested in a scheme he knows nothing about.

Would appear that their Charlie is investing in these off shore tax avoidance schemes as well

Hamilton doesn't live in the UK..why should he pay tax here?

Tax scrounger Lewis Hamilton left the UK to live in Switzerland in 2007, so as to avoid contributing to essential UK public services. He admitted that the reason for his move was to avoid taxation. In 2008 he moved to Monaco, also a tax haven.

This year’s Sunday Times Rich List put his personal wealth at £131 million.

Everyone who already lives in Switzerland doesn't pay towards the UK public services that they DON'T USE. Just like anyone who emigrates.

If he went to Switzerland then he pays Swiss income tax and uses Swiss public services.

Nothing to do with scrounging, if you want to move to Switzerland then you'll get exactly the same treatment.

Google seems to suggest otherwise

Alongside property historically owned by the monarchy, the Queen also personally owns property assets — rather those attached to the office of the monarch — and her holdings include some of the grandest properties in Britain.

Business Insider took a look at the most spectacular royal assets. The list includes some of the country's best-known buildings: Iconic race courses, grand hotels, historic castles, and an offshore energy portfolio worth over £1 billion.

The Queen privately owns an 18,433-hectare estate called the Duchy of Lancaster. It is administered separately from the Crown Estate.

It goes on.

But that said, the Dutchy is held in trust by law.

Scrounger Hamilton moved to Switzerland specifically to avoid paying UK taxes. Switzerland has a maximum income tax rate of 11.5 per cent.

He later moved to Monaco because it's lack of a personal income tax suited him better.

More details

The Queen's portfolio is divided into her personally owned properties and the assets that belong to the reigning monarch – which mostly fall under the Crown Estate and the Duchy of Lancaster – even though the queen or king cannot sell these assets.

However, Sandringham House, the royal home in Norfolk, belongs personally to Queen Elizabeth, who inherited it from her father, King George VI.

So there are properties she owns directly, and of course wealth that comes from the £40million/year income is hers personally.

People who no longer live in the UK don't pay UK taxes shocker.

Queen Elizabeth II also inherited Balmoral Castle from her father and the Aberdeenshire estate is part of her private portfolio.

The royal family ran into a problem in 1936 when Edward VIII – who had inherited these properties upon the death of his father George V - abdicated. As the unusual situation meant that George VI did not automatically inherit Sandringham and Balmoral, he had to purchase the properties from his brother.

So, she definitely owns some private real estate, and has ownership, but not the right to sell or manage lots more, and even more of it she 'owns' but has no rights to sell, manage or derive income (which sort of means she doesn't really own IMO).

I'm uncertain why this is a surprise to you. Scrounger Hamilton specifically moved away to ensure he didn't pay any UK taxes.

The Isle of Man is a British Crown Dependency and subject to UK VAT, which gives businesses there access to the EU.

Scrounger Hamilton has paid no VAT on his climate destroying private jet as he has informed tax authorities that it is used purely for business purposes.

It's you who seem to be surprised.

I really don't see how leaving a country to live somewhere with lower tax is 'scrounging', do you know what the word means?

Yes, I already commented on how he appears to have dodged VAT by declaring it a business use item, when in fact it's used for private things.

It's a grander scale of your friendly tradesman doing work off the books cash in hand and declaring his new smart TV as a business expense. If people can legally find a way to pay less tax, then they will; and the more money involved the more complicated the scheme.

I repeat my question from a different thread, you voted to leave the EU because they were cap... anti capit...

Stop it, you are just becoming more daft with every post you make.
