kidley
She has got three years, her so called boyfriend should have got ten years for asking her to bring them, he probably knew what the penalties where, its the recreational drug of choice apparently in Egypt. Lockdoctor
No sympathy at all . The one thing I haven't heard is where she got these tablets from . Also agree about the MP trying to gain votes ,by making it political What do you think her motives were for taking this drug in to Egypt? It certainly was't for financial gain, which is the main motive of a drug dealer.

Lockdoctor
How do you know she wasn't gaining financially ? I don't know any thing about the case other than I have seen in or heard in the media. My personal thoughts are the woman wasn't at the front of the queue when brains were being given out. iansheff
How do you know she wasn't gaining financially ? Reading about the case in different articles, apparently the cost of the airfare to Egypt was more than could be made by selling them on.

As I said earlier in the thread , I was told I could've sold mine . Which with 400 tablets would cover Air fare easily

Mossway
Looking on the web, it appears you can buy 300 for c £240 in the UK, but, obviously, not in Egypt. It appears this young woman has been duped into taking a ‘recreational’ drug into Egypt for her boy friend and she’s got to suffer the penalty. It’s a lesson for other young women with ‘exotic’ boy friends, and we must hope she’ll be released fairly soon on humanitarian grounds.
