Lidl Halifax Road

For the shoppers at the Halifax Road branch the staff have told us it will be closed after Christmas. I hear it will be for 6 weeks maybe longer for refurbishment and the addition of a cafe and toilets.

Never heard of any Lidl having cafes but we'll just have to wait and see.

They've been building some sort of extension on the back so it doesn't surprise me.

Lidl has a programme of refurbishments going on around the UK - giving the stores a facelift, introducing new facilities, and becoming more energy-efficient. I've been in a couple of the re-vamped stores on holiday, they look good and still offer great value for money. I presume (but don't know) that all their stores will be modernised in this way eventually.

Yes I think you are right. They buildozed one near Newcastle and rebuilt it.

Its suppose to be more environmentally friendly, however the old one wasn’t that old.
