Best share dealing sites and or apps

Guys.

 

Can anybody recommend a good and user friendly share dealing site or maybe an app. I would like to deal a little bit and it has been a while since I did this and things have moved on in the last 15 years !

 

Something user friendly, simple - ish. And preferably one with low % commission rates, and up to date prices.

 

I HAVE AN ANDRIOD SMARTPHONE IF THAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE TO WHAT APPS ARE AVAILABLE ETC

I use Hargreaves Lansdown which is dead simple, but Vanguard, say, are cheaper. It depends on whether you are dealing in Shares , Funds, Trackers etc. There’s no easy answer

I quite like the Virgin shares scheme. I believe one of them has averaged about 10% over about the last 10 years and i believe they only charge around 1% to run it.

Yes, HL is good. You can either select your own holdings or use HL's portfolios.

I've used HL for several years and it's not made any errors at all so far.

IG is widely regarded as one of the best. The app it's also great and fees are low.
