Kids toys are a real rip off.

 

They know parents will move heaven and earth to get their little darlings whatever they want. So prices rise accordingly.

Well no one will get rich of me this xmas, sorry!

Me and my partner have decided to sit it out and buy each other token presents. My young son will of course get his wants and needs. I think childhood is the best time of our lives. So our budget for each other is probably less than £40, my sons will be the game console, games, clothes, chocolates etc etc.

 

Just to point out we only buy him gifts on birthdays and xmas (6mths apart). other times he has to wait or do house chores to save towards.

 

I don't drink, the tree we've had for well over a decade.

I'd like to think its quite controlled in our house.

Talking to work colleagues...one of whom is spending over £4k this xmas!! WOW

Apart from the children, we have all agreed to give the money we would have spent on presents to our chosen charities. We still have a great Christmas.
