cgksheff
If Mohammed (and variants) is topping the boys list, how come Arabic girls names such as Fatima, Mariam, Ayesha etc. don't even get a sniff in their top ten?
Guest
Isn't it the case that Muhamad is number 1 only because of all its variations of spelling? I don't think any single one on its own would get to number 1?

Anna B
Isn't it the case that Muhamad is number 1 only because of all its variations of spelling? I don't think any single one on its own would get to number 1? Possibly, and don't most male Muslim babies have to have Muhamad in their name? RJRB
No doubt this will be much discussed in certain papers,Britain First and perhaps even catch the attention of Donald Trump. However in 2016 only 4%of births were of Pakistani ethnicity, and obviously Mohammed is their most popular name.We of whiteBritish ethnicity have a much wider range of Christian names. *_ash_*
Looking at the lists, I'd only pick a few of those, if forced to name a boy from it. Yet the girls names all seem ok. No chavvy ones in there.
