davyboy
don't think there are many children who collect stamps nowadays. Less letters are posted and less stamps are used because of new technology, which has led to less Post Offices _______less instead of fewer

Ontarian1981
A mute point instead of moot point. LOL I just love that one. It reminds me of he guy in Fawlty Towers , who was telling a joke to Sybil, that ended with "Pretentious Moi? "

RiffRaff
My MD said it repeatedly and I had to bite my tongue That reminds me about my ex-MD, who used the word 'differ' instead of 'defer'. Confused the hell out of the company bank!
Jeffrey Shaw
Also: 'how' It means 'by what method'. So one cannot really say 'How would Antarctica look if there was no ice?', as the BBC News Website did last week. Antarctica is a continent. It has ice but no eyes. so it cannot look. I wouldn't of noticed that. of?! The thing is though, if this is how people read things in media / papers / online, then how are people going to learn the correct way? I can't remember this type of thing at school.

How narrow minded. The usage of 'how' as to the condition or quality of something is also a valid definition in the OED.
