Council tree felling...

Recommended Posts

The tree campaigners finally receive an apology.

https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-south-yorkshire-66986396

'An inquiry report, published earlier in the year, found the council overstretched its authority in taking drastic action against campaigners, had serious and sustained failures in leadership and misled the public, courts and an independent panel it set up to deal with the dispute.'

Surely the citizens of Sheffield have to take issue with the above in bold?

Not all of SCC was to blame, just those belonging to the ruling Labour Group who believed they could run roughshod over a number of citizens.

A 60 year old flowering cherry tree has been felled on Bevan Way in Burncross . Not diseased , not a danger to any one ,  Council say they know nothing about it . The tree was  a sight to been seen in the spring time , people used to take photo's of it along with the three remaining ones on the site .  Tree murderers .

On Council land ,   its a little alcove of land that looks brilliant when the Cherry trees all flower in spring ,

Interesting - did no-one notice them cutting it down, whoever it was?
