Damain Green resigns

Recommended Posts

Despite being effectively sacked he's still entitled to a ministerial payoff of around £17,000.

And the retired police officer, who made public private information, will still be receiving their taxpayer's funded pension.

He most certainly did and the more I think about it the more it looks like he waited through loyalty to fall on his sword. If so, and putting aside partisan political issues, he has done the nation a final good service.

The timing of the sacking couldn't have worked out better for Mrs May.

That would be nice, unfortunately there are large parts of this country where people vote Tory because their forefathers going back many generations voted Tory. As long as these donkeys continue to do so we'll never be free of this shower.

That's a bit rich coming from a place where the same applies but to Labour.

IF Mr Green had come clean at the beginning of this story all would have been forgotten by the media in a few days.

Surely he must have realised his lie would be discovered.

the story does have a whiff of the Monica Lewinsky’s dress scandal about it, doesn’t it?

Why did the police sit on it for, what was it, nine years before making it public?

I think Damian has made some very influential people very angry :suspect:

The police didn't make the information public, it was a retired police officer, who did that. It wasn't a police matter because nothing illegal was found on the computers.

Damian Green's reputation has been stained so there are similarities to the dress you mention.

Look up Bob Quick, his part in the illegal(?) parliamentary raid, and his subsequent resignation for being an even bigger berk. He's obviously got a chip on each shoulder.

Here’s an interesting story.

Turns out that Damian Green had a mole working in New Labour’s Home Office who was leaking sensitive documents to the Tory press!

No wonder you Tories are so quick to defend the lying weasel!

FOR SHAME :nono:

First, I'm, not a Tory. Second, yep, that's the story. Leaking is part and parcel of political life on all sides, but only Blair's government decided to overuse its authority against political opponents. That's pretty much how it works in South American and Africa.

I don’t think that there is ever a good time to sack your third minister.

Certainly not for being a sex pest and an onanist.

Even for the Tories, that’s beginning to look like you don’t know who you are appointing to key positions.

All I've seen written about Damian Green is that he looks at unremarkable porn like most men and plenty of women, and that he's an atrocious flirt. That does not make him a sex pest. It takes a special kind of SJW mental gymnastics to mtake a hand on knee to sex pestery.

When Kate Maltby appears in the Times wearing an ill fitting corset in an especially unsexy photograph it would be surprising if she wasn't flirted with, and she's intelligent to know that full well. She's also perfectly entitled to rebuff him and tell him where to get off, which apparently she did.
