Mossway
The irony here is that this thread mentions $7500 spending money for a holiday parked (on my ipad) next to a thread talking of 68,000 homeless !
realcockney
7500 in pounds is a bit over the top, especially if all the attractions tickets are already pre-paid. That amount in dollars should be easily enough, including souvenirs for back home. not that much difference $ to £ over 2 weeks maybe 700 quid
Ontarian1981
not that much difference $ to £ over 2 weeks maybe 700 quid Today 7,500 pounds equals 10,050 US dollars.I could take half the kids on our street down there for that if the travel and attractions were already paid for. TheNugget
It’s an impossible question to answer. Everyone has their own tastes and budgets. Also, are they staying in a villa with cooking facilities or a hotel room only rate. If they eat breakfast at home, and dinner at home, pack a sandwich for lunch then they won’t spend much. Or if they eat out and like to buy souvenirs and go shopping, they’ll spend a lot. If they like to get hammered every night, even more. If they want to hire a car, more. If they want to hire an exotic dancer...more. I went to the Florida Keys for a few days by helicopter, that cost a bit. Why they don’t just work out the cost of stuff they want to spend and add it up? ---------- Post added 27-12-2017 at 20:46 ---------- But £5k should cover it. ---------- Post added 27-12-2017 at 20:49 ---------- The irony here is that this thread mentions $7500 spending money for a holiday parked (on my ipad) next to a thread talking of 68,000 homeless ! It is unfortunate that some people have difficult lives. But whilst it sounds a lot, for an average comfortable couple, it’s a months wage really. A holiday like that every couple or three years isn’t that much of an extravagance, given they might both be working full time to pay for it. Ontarian1981
Just like to mention to the OP , that if you are planning on a car rental,, get a " rider" from your own insurance company back home, this will save quite a bit on the rental cost. That is, of course if UK insurers do it.I have done it in the past, but of course, I am in Canada.
