barleycorn
mention of legalising cannabis is a daft idea. A couple of joints affect the brain to the same degree as a pint of beer and then these idiots get behind a wheel and kill or maim someone. It's a pretty sad person who needs drugs to find life interesting. The discussion for legalising cannabis is that way----> That said, your argument is a crock of excrement. ---------- Post added 03-01-2018 at 14:51 ---------- How.many people are in jail on Cannabis related offences? Not many I bet. 15% of prisoners are in on drugs related offences. That's approx 13k people out of 85k. Don't know how many are cannabis related, the available stats don't break it down. As a rough figure let's say 20% on cannabis charges, that's 2.6K. There are currently 2.5K in prison for a possession of weapons offence (not exclusive to knives). Legalising cannabis would therefore allow us to double the spaces available for possession of weapons offences (not that I think this is the solution, because I don't). https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/offender-management-statistics-quarterly-april-to-june-2017 Edited January 3, 2018 by barleycorn
Cyclone
And it would free up police time to combat violence instead of chasing down people growing a little weed.
