iansheff
A friend took their daughters trousers back, I think they were a present and the salesperson said you will only get what the price is now (they were on offer so cheaper) not what you paid for them, needless to say they were wrong. It’s normally the case that if you don’t have a receipt shops will only offer you an exchange or gift card for the current selling price.

Not necessarily as it depends on why they were being returned. If they were faulty then it should be a full refund of what was paid with proof of purchase but if they were just not wanted, or wrong size then they are in their rights to give nothing at all. Stranza
If you haven't replaced it yet and don't mind a budget option the Asda basic kettle has really impressed me. Fast and quiet I've had to speed up my mashing.
